There is no set minimum GPA that a student must maintain in order to retain their financial aid at Whitman College. However, students must remain in good academic standing and be making required progress towards completing a degree.
A student who is placed on academic probation or progress warning, as defined in the College Catalog, under Academics, Academic Standards, will also be on financial aid probation. The maximum period of financial aid probation is two consecutive semesters during which time the student will maintain their eligibility for financial aid. If the student does not resume good standing and/or satisfactory progress after two consecutive semesters on probation, they will lose their eligibility for all financial aid administered by Whitman College. The student may appeal for reinstatement of their aid to the Admission and Financial Aid Committee.
