Whitman College provides a comprehensive, diversified financial aid program — including scholarships, grants, employment opportunity, and loans — to assist in financing a college education. Awards take into account a variety of circumstances: some are based on need alone, some on merit alone, but most are based on a combination of both elements. We strive to provide access to a wide group of students, but it is not possible for us to meet 100% of every student's need. However, we feel that we can make a strong case for considering Whitman as one of your top educational choices.

	Memorial Building – the administrative center of campus, which is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
	Off-campus seminar and internship programs available for Whitties who seek a firsthand experience of “contemporary urban America.”
	Oral “comprehensive exams” for seniors – Whitman was the nation’s first college to make this a graduation requirement for all majors.
	Whittie-speak for the Undergraduate Conference – a campuswide celebration of student research, scholarship and creativity.
