Provides scholarships annually to one or more undergraduate or graduate students working in public services. $1500 award is meant to enable student to gain practical experience in public service by taking a no-pay or low-pay job during a summer or other term. Any undergraduate year (March deadline).
Sophomores and juniors are invited to apply for the Whitman Internship fund. A stipend of approximately $2100 is awarded to recipients who plan to complete a non-paid or volunteer internship during the summer. Financial aid is not taken into account.
