The Center for Community Service is always eager to support student-initiated community service projects. When a student approaches us with a great project idea, we work with him or her to develop an implementation plan. We help to incubate special projects until they are strong enough to run on their own, either as a CCS program or through another organization or club.

Last year, our special projects were Lincoln Tutors and Volunteer Club. This year our special projects are Adopt-A-Grandparent and Youth Adventure Program.

Our Special Projects are facilitated by Maia Hansen and Elena Gustafson, our Special Projects Interns. If you have an idea for a special project you'd like to implement, please contact us by emailing specialprojects@whitman.edu.
