Color
Whenever possible, the logo should be printed in PMS 281 blue. When four-color process inks are used the blue can be produced by using the custom build CMYK formula 100/85/3/50.
The secondary color is PMS 113 yellow. When four-color process inks are used, the yellow can be produced by using the custom build CMYK formula 0/2/100/0.
Please contact Printing Services for assistance with the technical aspects of using the standard Whitman colors.
There are two variations of the icon based on color:
Designed for use on light (non-white) backgrounds. This version includes a blue edge around the clock tower icon and a blue wordmark. Any time the logo is printed on a light, non-white background, the icon background should be white.
Designed for use on dark backgrounds. This version includes a white edge around the clock tower icon and a white wordmark.
Yellow may be used sparingly as an accent color.
There will be times when it is not practical to print the logo in the standard colors. In one- and two-color printing, the logo may be used as a single-color element with the clock tower icon as a “see-through” element with no white background present. This does not constitute a license to assign different colors to the logo for individual or departmental use. In other words, a department may not decide that its “own” version of the logo will be green and yellow, for instance, or all green. No other colors should be introduced to create two-color combinations.
