Spring 2013 Whitman Internship Funding

What is this fund?

The Whitman Internship Grant can provide funding for students to participate in unpaid internship experiences at non-profit and public agencies in Walla Walla during the Spring 2013 semester.

Possible examples of local organizations include: Blue Mountain Action Council, Friends of Children, Planned Parenthood, Red Cross, Trilogy, the YMCA, and the YWCA. To explore more possibilities, check out this guide, which has a list of local organizations by industry.

Can I get funding?

To be eligible for a stipend from this fund, internships must be completely unpaid and take place during Spring 2013. Students must have secured the internship prior to applying for funding. Unfortunately, funding is limited and not all applications will be able to be funded.

This is a competitive program; each application will be reviewed primarily on the merit of the internship and the value of the experience in the context of the student’s academic or career goals.

How do I apply?

** Applications will be reviewed starting Monday, December 10th with a deadline of Friday, December 14, 2012, and accepted until available funding is exhausted. Applications must be turned in to the Student Engagement Center (219 Reid Campus Center). Download the application and instructions here:
