The Career Center subscribes to a wide variety of publications listing current employment opportunities nationwide that are available in our career library. Links to numerous internship and full-time employment resources can also be found on our website. Employment information received directly from alumni, businesses, and organizations is advertised or made available in the Career Center. Opportunities that match Whitman’s liberal arts degree are forwarded to graduates by email upon request; to subscribe, contact the Career Center.

Career fairs are great opportunities to facilitate your job or internship search and contact a large number of employers very quickly. Career Expo of the Palouse
Washington State University and the University of Idaho will possibly be hosting one of the Northwest’s most comprehensive career fairs in fall 2009. This is a wonderful opportunity to make connections and begin the hunt for an internship, full time, or part time job. Whitman College Career & Internship Fair
Our fair was held on February 19, 2009 from 12:00 noon - 3:00pm in the Reid Campus Center, Young Ballroom.  We will hold another fair in early spring 2010.

Partnership in Employment Expo (Spokane)
Attend a career fair organized by Gonzaga, Whitworth, Eastern Washington and Washington State. Their fair will be held in early spring 2010. Check their website for current dates and times.
