About Career Consultant Network
Career Consultants are alumni and parents (and a few friends of the college) who have agreed to make themselves available to talk to current students or alumni about their jobs and careers. There are 1800+ Career Consultants in over 70 occupational areas. A number of them have indicated that they can provide information about job opportunities (not actual jobs!) with their particular company or organization. Some have agreed to sponsor internships and summer jobs. They may also be willing to refer students and alumni to other persons who can be helpful "networking" contacts.
You can also ask them career-related questions about how they obtained their current position, what their career paths have been, educational background and skills required for their career area, job outlook for the future, and typical compensation for entry-level positions.
Career Consultants will usually be contacted at their offices (times and places are specified) or you can make arrangements for a personal visit if feasible. To maintain confidentiality, Career Consultants data is not available over the internet. Access to the database is available only at the Career Center. The database can be searched using various criteria: occupational area, greek affiliation, employer name, geographical area and college and graduate degree.
If you are not in town and would like some information from the CCN database, please contact the Career Center at 509-527-5183 and inform us of your search criteria and areas of interest. Please leave us your e-mail address and contact number, and the Career Center will be happy to e-mail the information to you.
