Friday, Nov. 21, 2008 -- The IM soccer and bowling seasons are underway.
Bowling takes place at BowlAway Lanes. There will be a second bowling season in the spring.
Soccer games are played an the Whitman Athletic Fields. Below are names of the soccer teams and their captains. Teams are co-ed. There are two leagues in division II this year. The top three teams from each league will make the Division II playoffs.

Wednesday, Nov. 5, 2008 -- Congratulations to TKE and What B. – the men’s and women’s 2008 IM football champions.
TKE beat Sigma Chi 20-7 for the men’s championship on Sunday Nov. 2. Later that day, What B. held off Delta Gamma 6-0 for the women’s title.
Both TKE and What B. completed perfect 8-0 seasons. The What B. women, mostly seniors, finished their last season together with a third straight championship.

Friday, Oct. 31, 2008 -- Soccer season starts the weekend of Nov. 8-9 and will end just before winter break. Sign-up forms were due earlier this week. Teams will be co-ed. Expect more infomation on soccer in the next week.
Meanwhile, flag football playoffs are this weekend, Nov. 1-2. Semifinals are on Saturday, followed by championship games on Sunday. All games will be on Ankeny Field.

Friday, Oct. 3, 2008 -- This is the first entry of a new blog that will provide information about intramural (IM) sports blog throughout the academic year.
The flag football
regular season, which got started last weekend, is pointed toward the
all-important playoffs, starting with the semifinals on Saturday, Nov.
1, and ending the next day with the title games.
After replacing volleyball last spring, IM team tennis is back this fall. The season, which opened Sept. 17, culminates with semifinals on Monday, Oct. 20, and and finals on Wednesday, Oct. 22.
Opposing team play one men’s doubles match and one women’s doubles match. Each doubles match is played as an 8-game proset.
