Nominations for ASWC are conducted by the Standing Nominations Committee. This body is composed of the Nominations Chair (currently John Stewart), a representative from the House of Club Representatives, and three members of ASWC who are not involved with the governing entity.

College Committee Nominations

Whitman College has many committees with student representatives on them. These committees are formed for a host of purposes. There is undoubtedly one that will appeal to you.

Campus Media Nominations

ASWC has several campus media entities: our student newspaper the Pioneer, the radio station KWCW, the literary magazine blue moon, and the incoming student handbook called The Source. ASWC hires the chief officers of each of these entities.

Programming Nominations

ASWC is responsible for a number of programming entities: The Public Speakers Office, the Public Events Office, and many special events for which we hire directors. There are a number of ways that you can work with ASWC to bring both educational and fun programming to campus through these Offices, so check them out.
