Whitman offers opportunities for students seeking additional help to learn from peers who enjoy sharing their academic passions. There are two types of tutoring offered by Whitman: Group Tutoring and Individualized Tutoring.
Group Tutoring is an opportunity for students to work with an experienced peer in a group setting. Group tutoring sessions are held all over campus and you can find a tutoring session that meets your needs by checking out the Tutoring Schedule or by e-mailing firstname.lastname@example.org.
Individualized Tutoring allows students to receive specialized assistance through regularly scheduled one-on-one tutoring sessions. The Academic Resource Center connects students who are competent in a specific subject with students who have requested additional assistance in that subject. Tutors and tutees meet regularly throughout the course of the semester to work on course material and prepare for examinations and papers.
