One of the programs led by the Student Academic Advisers is the Encounters Conversation series. The purpose of the series is to bring professors into first-year residence halls to give a personal perspective on current Encounters readings. Each talk is held in Anderson, Jewett, Lyman, or Prentiss Hall, and is led by an Encounters professor who provides his/her insights on the current reading in an informal forum. In addition to hearing how another Encounters professor interprets the reading, you may also find inspiration to pursue a fascinating new paper topic. For a detailed schedule of locations, professors, and topics, see your SA.
