Road Conditions and Driving Distances
From Northwest (Seattle):
- Take Interstate 90 East for about 110 miles.
- Take the I-82 East/US-97 South exit
- Follow Interstate 82 for approximately 100 miles.
- Take the I-182 East/US-12 East exit.
- Follow Interstate 182 for approximately 10 miles.
- Interstate 182 becomes US-12 East.
- Follow US-12 East.
- In Walla Walla take the Clinton Street exit to the right.
- After about one mile, turn right on Boyer Avenue.
- Within a couple of blocks, you will be on the Whitman Campus.
- For Visitors’ Day parking, continue on Boyer Avenue to Park Avenue. Turn right on Park and proceed to the Harper Joy Theatre parking lot on the right or turn left onto Park and turn left into the music building parking lot. Signs will guide you to registration.
From Western Oregon (Portland):
- Take Interstate 84 East for approximately 200 miles.
- Take Exit 210, the OR-11 exit toward Pendleton/Milton-Freewater. Turn left onto Oregon-Washington Highway/OR-11.
- Turn right onto SE Court Ave/OR-11/Oregon-Washington Highway/Pendleton Highway/US-30. Continue to follow OR-11/Oregon-Washington Highway.
- OR-11 North becomes WA-125 North after approximately 33 miles.
- WA-125 North brings you into Walla Walla.
- WA-125 becomes 9th Street.
- Turn right on Main Street.
- At the five point intersection veer right onto Boyer Avenue.
- Within a block, you will be on the Whitman Campus.
- For Visitors’ Day parking, continue on Boyer Avenue to Park Avenue. Turn left on Park and proceed to the Harper Joy Theatre parking lot on the right or turn right onto Park and turn left into the music building parking lot. Signs will guide you to registration.
From Northeast (Spokane):
- Take Interstate 90 West for approximately 60 miles.
- Exit on US-395 South and follow for approximately 75 miles.
- Exit US-12 East and follow for about 30 miles.
- In Walla Walla take the Clinton St. exit to the right.
- After about one mile, turn right on Boyer Avenue.
- Within a couple of blocks, you will be on the Whitman Campus.
- For Visitors’ Day parking, continue on Boyer Avenue to Park Avenue. Turn right on Park and proceed to the Harper Joy Theatre parking lot on the right or turn left onto Park and turn left into the music building parking lot. Signs will guide you to registration.
From East (Boise):
- Take Interstate 84 West for approximately 215 miles.
- Take exit 216 towards Walla Walla.
- Turn right off of the exit ramp.
- Follow this road past Mission until you reach OR-11
- Turn right on OR-11
- OR-11 North becomes WA-125 North.
- WA-125 North brings you into Walla Walla.
- WA-125 becomes 9th Street.
- Turn right on Main Street.
