Ally Program

Whitman College Allies are students, staff, and faculty who are educated and proactive about responding to hate and bias on campus and in the community. Allies undergo an initial day-long training, and are expected to attend one Ally gathering each semester in order to share ideas and provide support for each other. Allies are, first and foremost, educators: they find “teachable moments” in passing conversations and large-scale campus events alike, and in responding in this way to hate and bias they help to make our campus a more welcoming environment for everyone. If you’re interested in becoming an ally, please contact Elana Stone at x5683 or stoneer@whitman.edu.

Check this page in May for information on next year's ally training!
