She also works on individual projects and research for the department. BEST ASPECT OF YOUR INTERNSHIP “I love getting to know everyone that works in the museum, and I love the environment here. It’s very open and creative, and there are chances for everyone to have creative ideas about how the museum operates. I love absorbing knowledge about this institution and about what it takes to run a children’s museum. I definitely feel like a welcome part of the museum. I’ve been invited to special events, such as a press conference with the Trailblazers, an offsite meeting about our website redesign, weekend tile glazing at the Portland Aerial Tram and a field trip that involved researching pressed pennies. I’m starting to really understand the importance of institutions like the children’s museum, which is extremely eye opening.”
