Her responsibilities include opening cases, handling casework and talking to constituents about their gov- ernment agency issues. She deals extensively with the Office of Personnel Management, the Social Security Administration, the Department of Veterans Affairs and many more federal agencies. She also has the oppor- tunity to use her Spanish speaking skills while helping people with immigration issues. BEST ASPECT OF YOUR INTERNSHIP “Probably the feeling that I am helping so many people. I feel important at this internship. People actually need my help, and I am here to make sure their issues are resolved. Now that I have been at my internship for over a month, I have really gotten the hang of the computer system and the filing system, which definitely makes my job easier. This internship has made me realize that I want a career in politics. ”
