Eddie conducts research that focuses on the relationship between restored aquatic ecosystems and adjacent “undisturbed” terrestrial ecosystems. BEST ASPECT OF YOUR INTERNSHIP “The best aspect of this summer internship is not the people I’m working with, the insects, or the fact that I may be able to use this data for my senior thesis, but it is the fact that it is helping me figure out whether or not I want to pursue a career in field ecology. For awhile now, I’ve struggled with what career I want to pursue. This experience has helped me figure out that I don’t want to pursue field ecology. While I’ve indeed had a great experience here, I’ve learned that field ecology – and scientific research, perhaps, too – is not for me. ”
