My dad moved to the line whereKevin Daucher ’04 was working and he very excitedly asked my dad about his visiting plans; he told my dad that he was an economics major at Whitman. He also mentioned that his favorite professor was Halefom Belay and asked me to say ‘hi’ to him. Kevin then issued the visa for my dad. My dad was so happy about the wonderful coincidence and called me instantly about the encounter.” After sitting across the room from each other at a meeting atstellenbosch University in April,Sarah  Thomsen ’87, who is now at Karolinska Institutet in sweden, andJeff Knezovich ’04, who is based at the University ofsussex in the U.K., realized that they were both Whitties.
