Whitman Hands Out 41 Scholar Athlete Awards

WALLA WALLA, Wash. -- A total of 41 students recently received Northwest Conference Scholar Athlete honors at Whitman College for the 2002-2003 academic year.

The honor goes to athletes who letter in at least one varsity sport during the academic year, maintain a cumulative grade point average of 3.5 or higher (through the fall semester), and receive a favorable recommendation from the coaching staff. First-year student-athletes are not eligible.

Whitman has been giving Scholar Athlete awards since the spring of 1985. Click here for a year-by-year listing.
