Whitman Hands Out 40 Scholar Athlete Awards
WALLA WALLA, Wash. -- A total of 40 students recently received
Northwest Conference Scholar Athlete honors at Whitman College
for the 2001-2002 academic year.
The honor goes to athletes who letter in at least one
varsity sport during the academic year, maintain a cumulative
grade point average of 3.5 or higher (through the fall semester),
and receive a favorable recommendation from the coaching staff.
First-year student-athletes are not eligible.
Whitman has been giving Scholar Athlete awards since the
spring of 1985. Click here for a
