WALLA WALLA, Wash. - Sammie Arthur, a first-year forward who led the Whitman College women's soccer team in scoring this fall, has earned All-Northwest Conference First-Team honors.

Arthur, a graduate of Branson School in Ross, Calif., is one of four Missionaries who earned all-conference honors.

Katey Schmitz, a junior midfielder/forward, was named to the All-NWC Second Team. Senior midfielder Sara Weihmann and sophomore forward Mckenzie Hoffman received honorable mention recognition.

Arthur finished the season with 11 goals and three assists for 25 points. She scored two goals, including the game winner, in a late-season 3-2 overtime victory at Linfield. She also booted the game-winning goal in a 2-1 overtime victory against Linfield earlier in the season. Of Whitman's ten victories this fall, Arthur finished three of them with overtime goals.

Schmitz, a graduate of Bellevue (Wash.) High School, contributed six assists and one goal this season.
