WALLA WALLA, Wash. -- Barby Ream, a 6-foot middle blocker on the Whitman College volleyball team, has earned honorable mention recognition in the Northwest Conference for the second time in two seasons.
Ream, a junior from Garfield High School in Seattle, Wash., led Whitman in blocks with 50, a total that placed her fourth in the conference for a second straight season in that statistical category.
Ream also finished second on the team in kills with 144, and she was among team leaders in services aces with 24 and digs with 142.
"Barby was one of our leaders in every category," Whitman coach Dean Snider said. "Barby is an all-court player, and we look forward to her leading us again next season."
In her three seasons at Whitman, Ream has collected 247 blocks, 451 kills, 555 digs and 49 service aces.
Ream, a studio art major at Whitman, is the daughter of Edithann and David Ream of Seattle, Wash.
