Jamey Wolverton

Assistant Men's Basketball Coach

Whitman College, Walla Walla, Wash.

The 1995-96 basketball season marks the debut of Jamey Wolverton as an assistant coach with the Whitman College men's team.

Wolverton, who graduated from Whitman in 1994 with a degree in psychology, also works on campus as director of the Center for Community Service.

Wolverton was an all-conference athlete in football, baseball and basketball in high school at La Center, Washington. He also played baseball at both Oberlin College and Whitman.

Wolverton's coaching responsibilities are not limited this winter to his role as a Whitman assistant. He's also serving as head basketball coach at DeSales Middle School in Walla Walla. His coaching career began at DeSales High School, where he previously served as an assistant coach for two seasons.

Wolverton also has sharpened his coaching skills at a number of basketball camps, including the nationally-recognized program at David Lipscomb University in Nashville, Tennessee.
