Daniel Forbes, Adjunct Assistant Professor Email: forbesdm@whitman.edu Bio: Daniel Forbes received his BA in Studio Art with emphasis in sculpture and ceramics in 1993 from Whitman College in Walla Walla, WA. In 2007 Forbes completed an MFA with Vermont College of Union Institute and University in Montpelier VT. His artistic explorations encompass a wide variety of media and styles; however, underlying threads exploring ritual, psychology, gender, and body image tie these disparate works together. Daniel Forbes’ artwork has been displayed in a variety of Northwest venues including Washington, Idaho, Oregon, and California but his works have also traveled for exhibition to places like New Mexico, Alaska, Vermont, Connecticut and Maine. Along with his studio practice, Forbes serves as the Director of Whitman College’s Sheehan Gallery and is an Adjunct Associate Professor of Art for the Whitman Art Department and also an Adjunct Instructor of Art for the Walla Walla Community College. |
