Bio:
Michelle Acuff hails originally from the Midwest where she received her B.A. in Art from Augustana College, and her M.A. and M.F.A. in Sculpture and Intermedia from The University of Iowa. Professor Acuff has lived and traveled extensively throughout the U.S., Europe, Asia and Latin America. Professor Acuff has been awarded several residencies including the Jentel Foundation in Banner, Wyoming, the Kimmel Harding Nelson Center for the Arts in Nebraska City, Nebraska, and the Prairie Center for the Arts in Peoria, Illinois. In 2006 she was a recipient of a Mississippi Arts Commission Individual Artist Fellowship. In recent years Professor Acuff has exhibited her work nationally in venues such as The Urban Institute for Contemporary Art in Grand Rapids, Michigan, C.S.P.S., The Cedar Rapids Museum of Art, The ArtLab at The University of Memphis, The Masr Museum of Art, and most recently in a solo exhibition at the Stevens Gallery of the College of William and Mary in Williamsburg, Virginia.
