Guide to the Henri M. Chase Papers 1857-1947: Materials related to pioneer Henri M. Chase, who traveled from Boston to San Francisco around Cape Horn, in 1849. From there he journeyed north to the Oregon Territory and then on to Washington Territory. There he organized Company M of the Second Regiment of the Washington Territory Volunteers and served as its captain, was elected to the Washington Territorial Assembly, became Walla Walla city treasurer, and was one of the founders of the Walla Walla and Columbia River Railroad.

Guide to the William W. Davies Collection: Materials related to William W. Davies, who arrived in Walla Walla, Washington in 1867 and established a religious colony, the Davisite Kingdom of Heaven. There, his son became the "Walla Walla Jesus" and Davies became known as "The Holy Ghost" and referred to himself as the "Voice of God". The colony existed until 1881 when legal judgments against Davies forced a sheriff's sale of the property.

Guide to the Eells Family Collection 1742-1997: Materials related to the family of northwest pioneers Cushing and Myra Eells and their descendents.

Guide to the Cushing Eells Collection 1821-1979: This collection contains materials of and about Cushing Eells. Eells was a missionary and founded a seminary dedicated to Marcus Whitman, which became Whitman College. The collection contains original correspondence, the diary and the sermons of Cushing Eells, as well as current materials about his life, mission, and some materials created by his family.

Guide to the Myron Eells Collection 1848-1998: Materials related to the Reverend Myron Eells, Pacific Northwest native and missionary, Whitman College trustee and son of pioneer Cushing Eells. Born in Spokane County, in 1843, Reverend Eells lived in the Willamette Valley, graduated from Pacific University and Hartford Theological Society and became ordained in the Congregational Church. He returned to the west and spent most of his years in the Puget Sound region as a missionary to the tribes and white settlers until his death in 1907.

Guide to the Walter Crosby Eells Papers 1890-1963: This collection consists mainly of reprints of professional publications by Walter Crosby Eells. Some professional correspondence and a scrapbook are also included.

Guide to the Ruth Fluno Collection 1927-1980: Artwork, poetry, diaries, and other writings of a Walla Walla artist, Ruth Fluno. She and her husband Robert Fluno moved to Walla Walla in 1952; the couple also traveled abroad in London, East Pakistan, Italy, and southern Europe. She considered much of her artwork to be social commentary.

Guide to the Gardner and Company Records 1878-1980: Materials related to the history of Gardners department store of Walla Walla, Washington and its predecessor, Schwabacher Brothers. Opened in 1860, as a purveyor of dry goods, clothing and groceries for early settlers and miners, Schwabacher Brothers changed ownership and name in 1910 and, when it closed in 1980, Gardners had the distinction of being the oldest department store in the state of Washington.

Guide to the William D. Guernsey Collection 1896-1971: Materials related to the life of William D. Guernsey who wrote autobiographical stories, owned a printing business, worked for newspapers, was the son of Dayton, Washington pioneer D. C. Guernsey, and was a Whitman Academy alumnus.

Guide to the Pacific University Collection 1874-1979: Materials related to Pacific University, the oldest chartered university in the west. Located in Forest Grove, Oregon it was chartered in 1849 as Tualatin Academy and traces its roots to the meetinghouse where Tabitha Brown and the Reverend Harvey Clark cared for and educated orphans of the Oregon Trail. The establishment of Tualatin Academy was the first act of the new provisional government and was spurred on by the Reverend George H. Atkinson of the Home Missionary Society of the Congregational Church Association. In 1854 a new charter was granted and the institution became Tualatin Academy and Pacific University.
