Whitman in Ashland date is set! August 12-14, 2005. Details coming soon.

WOW takes a look this month at the beginnings of an adventure. Starting in September, Keri Bean, '97, with her colleagues, Anthony Chapin, Dave Anderson and Lauren Edwards will embark on an expedition to retrace the 8,000 mile journey of Slavomir Rawicz, chronicled in the book The Long Walk. They will travel from Moscow to Siberia then south through Mongolia, China, Tibet and India. The group has received grants from NOLS, Patagonia and Medicines Global to document the changes to the environment and local people over the last 60 years through photos and film. Keri will be working with Medicines Global to provide medical supplies to remote communities along the journey. Check out their website at www.thelongwalk2004.com.
