WOW - Whitties of the WorldWOW takes a look this month at some young alumni doing great things in New York City. It seems that the Whitman bond only gets stronger as alumni get further from Walla Walla. Jimmy Maize '02 writes:

The WHITNY Group is a New York City performing arts company comprising over twenty Whitman College Alumni building upon the collaborative roots grown and nurtured while performing theatre at Whitman, and using this strength to take the New York theatre world by storm.

Their inaugural production, entitled "Shift: three natural acts" opens at an off-broadway theatre on October 20th.

To learn more about the company and their upcoming production, visit their web site at www.whitnygroup.org or http://www.theatermania.com/content/show.cfm/show/115878, for complete show info and links for locals to buy tickets.
