| Alumna honored at Commencement Kris Daughters '93 receives Distinguished Teaching Award from Whitman College. WALLA WALLA, Wash.-- Kris Daughters '93, an English and journalism teacher at Liberty High School in Renton, Washington, received a distinguished teaching award from Whitman College at Commencement ceremonies Sunday, May 20.Each year Whitman gives awards to elementary, middle school or high school teachers who have made a difference in the lives of graduating seniors.
