Eugene Club Jazz Dave Holland Quintet concertand lecture with David Glenn March 21, 2007, 6:30PM - 9:00PM PT The John G. Shedd Institute for the Arts Jaqua Concert Hall 285 E Broadway, Eugene, Oregon, 541-434-7000 Join Whitman alumni, parents, and friends for a night of jazz with The Dave Holland Quintet and a special pre-concert lecture by David Glenn, associate professor of Music. Lecture will begin at 6:30 PM in the Recital Hall and is open to the public. The Dave Holland Quintet performance begins at 7:30 PM in the adjacent Jaqua Room. Tickets must be purchased by February 20 and will be available that evening at Will Call. |

blue moon |
May 2007, will mark publication of the 20th edition of blue moon, Whitman
College's annual literary arts magazine. Entirely student produced, the
magazine features the work of Whitman students, staff, faculty and alumni.
Submissions: February 5, 2007 is the submission deadline for the 2007 edition of blue moon. Up to three prose pieces (15 page limit for each piece), five poems, and five pieces of art may be submitted. All pieces should be submitted immediately via email as attachments to blue moon, bluemoon@whitman.edu. Please use RTF for literary/poetry/prose and JPEG for art submissions. To pre-order a blue moon or make a donation, please contact editor Carly Lane Rue (biersdcl@whitman.edu) or assistant editor Tania Lown-Hecht (lownhete@whitman.edu). |
