Noose to Needle by Timothy V. Kaufman-Osborn
Whitman Bookstore Highlights Faculty Author
Timothy V. Kaufman Osborn, Baker Ferguson Chair of Politics and Leadership, has just published From Noose to Needle. This book provides a new perspective
on the controversial topic of capital punishment. By asking how the conduct
of state killing reveals broader contradictions in the contemporary liberal
state, Timothy V. Kaufman-Osborn progresses beyond the more familiar legal
and sociological approaches to this issue.
Available online at http://bookstore.whitman.edu - follow the Whitman Author link. If you have authored a book which you would like to have listed, please contact Douglas Carlsen, '74, Director of the Bookstore at carlseda@whitman.edu.
