| Sea Kayaking Costa Rica | Safari in Africa | Erie Canal | Salmon River |
After an exhilarating day rafting a Costa Rican jungle river, you’ll spend a morning at La Selva biological station, one of the most important rainforest research areas in the world. Then head for the coast to camp on a white sand beach backed by tropical forest. Spend the days enjoying the variety of coastal wildlife from your kayak - paddling to Las Islas Tortugas and a natural rock arch formed by the sea, surf kayaking, and drifting through a mangrove estuary inhabited by numerous species of birds and colorful crabs. This tropical paradise is perfect for relaxing and enjoying the clear emerald green sea and native wildlife. Spend the evenings stargazing, crab hunting and simply enjoying conversation and the tranquility of forest and sea. Professor Yancey will share his expertise on the flora and fauna of the area.
