Schedule of Events, May 17-20, 2007

In April, you will receive the registration form (several events are hosted by the College, all other events are paid for by the attendees on an event-by-event basis); the registration form and payment are due by May 10th. On-campus shuttle: For those needing assistance getting around campus, golf carts will be provided on a pre-arranged basis, if you are in need of this service please contact Nancy Mitchell.

8 a.m.-6 p.m.
Registration. The Alumni House, located at 219 Marcus Street, will be open for registration. Stop by to pick up your registration packet, name tag and reunion booklet.
9 a.m.-7 p.m.
The Whitman Bookstore, located on the ground level in the Reid Campus Center, is open.
11 a.m.-5 p.m.
Walla Walla area wineries are open to visitors. Information is available online at www.wallawallawine.com; maps available at the Alumni House, 219 Marcus Street.
12 noon-5 p.m.
Sheehan Gallery Exhibit: Senior Thesis Art Exhibit, featuring works by Whitman's graduating art majors.
6-7:30 p.m.
Cocktail Reception for the Class of 1957 hosted by President George S. Bridges. Sherwood House, 1107 Alvarado Terrace. A light supper will be served; bring a light jacket for outdoor seating (weather permitting).
8 p.m.
Harper Joy Theatre performance; to be determined. Ticket information to come.

Buffet Breakfast for the Class of 1957 with guest speaker. Location to be determined.
9 a.m.-5:30 p.m.
The Whitman College Bookstore, located on the ground level in the Reid Campus Center, is open.
11 a.m.-5 p.m.
Walla Walla area wineries are open to visitors. Information is available online at www.wallawallawine.com; maps available at the Alumni House, 219 Marcus Street.
12 noon-1:30 p.m.
Class of 1957 Luncheon hosted by President George S. Bridges. Young Ballroom, Reid Campus Center.
12 noon-5 p.m.
Sheehan Gallery Exhibit: Senior Thesis Art Exhibit, featuring works by Whitman's graduating art majors.
1:30-5 p.m.
A variety of afternoon activities are in the planning stages including golf and tennis.
3-4:30 p.m.
Class of 1957 Wine Tasting at Seven Hills Winery, corner of Cherry and Third Avenue.
6:30 p.m.
Class of 1957 Dinner at a location to be determined.

Phi Beta Kappa No-Host Brunch and Annual Meeting. Phi Beta Kappa members and their guests are invited. Young Ballroom, Reid Campus Center.

12 noon -2 p.m.
Picnic Luncheon for the Class of 1957; location to be determined.
12 noon-4 p.m.
Sheehan Gallery Exhibit: Senior Thesis Art Exhibit, featuring works by Whitman's graduating art majors.
2:30-4 p.m.
The Whitman College 2007 Baccalaureate. Farewell talks by Whitman College faculty and musical performances by Whitman College students. Cordiner Hall.
6 p.m.
Class of 1957 Social Hour and Reunion Dinner at the Walla Walla Country Club.

Sunday, May 20, 2007
8-10 a.m.
Breakfast may be purchased in the Café located in the Reid Campus Center. Please note: this event is open to all graduating seniors and their families, alumni and guests.
9-11 a.m.
The Whitman College Bookstore, located in the Reid Campus Center, is open.
9:30-10:15 a.m.
Robe selection for the Class of 1957. Members of the class are invited to march in the processional regardless of whether you graduated from Whitman. Caps and gowns provided.
10:20 a.m.

11 a.m.
The Whitman College 2007 Commencement Exercises; lawn in front of Memorial Building.
1 p.m.
Class of 1957 Luncheon hosted by Whitman College immediately following Commencement at Baker Faculty Center, 364 Boyer Avenue.
1-4 p.m.
The Whitman College Bookstore, located in the Reid Campus Center, is open.

On-Campus Shuttle
An on-campus shuttle service (golf carts) will be available for those needing assistance on a pre-arranged basis only. Arrangements can be made through the Alumni Office by calling Nancy Mitchell, associate director of alumni, at 509-527-5952 or 800-835-9448 ext. 1, or by email at mitchenl@whitman.edu.

Travel by Air and Rental Cars
The Walla Walla Regional Airport is 10 minutes from campus. Horizon Airlines provides services to Walla Walla with connections to Seattle (www.horizonair.com). Big Sky now offers service to Walla Walla from Boise (www.bigskyair.com).

Car rentals from Hertz 509-522-3321 and Budget 509-525-8811 are available at the airport. Other car rental companies located in Walla Walla include Enterprise 509-529-1988, Ford 509-525-1520, Gilbert Auto 509-522-2600, and U-Save 509-525-1680.

Delta Airlines, Horizon, and United Express fly into Pasco, Washington, one hour west of Walla Walla. All major car rental agencies are located in the Pasco terminal.

Sherwood Center and Bratton Tennis Center
Guest passes for Sherwood Center and Bratton Tennis Center are available upon request at the registration desk in the Alumni House. A refundable $20 deposit is required. Bring your own equipment. When using Sherwood Center, check in at the Fitness Center, located in the basement just outside the weight room. Please bring photo I.D. Sherwood Center (weight room, cardio room, racquetball and squash courts) is open Thursday and Friday from 11 a.m.-3 p.m.; the pool will not be open this weekend.
