Donate Materials to the Northwest Archives

The principal mission of the Whitman College and Northwest Archives is to document the history of Whitman College and provide source materials for those who seek to understand the college's development and its impact on intellectual, social, and cultural developments in the United States and beyond. Because of Whitman's status as the oldest institution of higher education in Washington State and its integral connections with the history of the Pacific Northwest, the archives also collects select materials that document the history of the region.

The Whitman College and Northwest Archives welcomes donations of materials that relate to the history of the college and the Walla Walla region. We are especially interested in materials that shed light on student life, including diaries, correspondence, photographs, scrapbooks, course-related materials, records of student organizations and activities, and memoirs. If you have such items in your possession, we would be happy to speak with you about making a permanent home for them in the college archives. Please contact the college archivist, Michael Paulus, at 509.527.5922 or archives@whitman.edu.
