Check-in and final registration
When you arrive on campus, come to the Alumni House, 219 Marcus Street (behind the Student Union Building) to pick up your final schedule and name tags. Registration deadline is September 15th. 5K & 10K Fun Run sponsored by Whitman Involvement in Student Health (WISH). Registration forms may be picked up at the Alumni House or at the starting line before the beginning of the race at 7:30 a.m. Race begins at 8 a.m. in front of Memorial Building.

Nineteenth Annual Bob Burgess Round Robin Tennis Tournament organized by David Deal, professor of history. Bratton Tennis Center.
8-11:30 a.m.
9-Hole Alumni Golf Tournament, Veterans Memorial Golf Course, 201 E. Rees. Continental breakfast available from 8-8:30 a.m. in the café. Tee times begin at 8:45 a.m. Space is limited and by advance reservation only.
9-10 a.m.
Tips on Estate and Tax Planning by Mark H. Kajita, C.P.A., Director of Planned Giving, Whitman College. Complimentary continental breakfast will be served.

A Conversation with President Thomas E. Cronin. Learn about the "state of the college" from its chief administrator; then go on a one-of-a-kind tour of the campus. Ruth Baker Kimball Theatre, Hunter Conservatory.

The Sherwood Climbing Wall is open for climbers of all levels. Outing program staff, belayers and all equipment will be provided. Come on down to the exterior wall of Sherwood and hang out for a few hours!
11 a.m.
Alumni-Student Lacrosse Game organized by David Schmitz, professor of history. Bring your own equipment.
11 a.m.-4 p.m.
Walking Winery Tour of downtown Walla Walla. Pick up your map at registration and leisurely stroll the streets of Walla Walla as you sample the valleys fine wine. Tasting rooms within walking distance include: Waterbrook Winery, 31 E. Main; Cayuse Vineyards, 17 E. Main; Vintage Cellars (a retail shop featuring all Walla Walla wines, California wines and imports), 207 E. Main; and Seven Hills Winery, 212 N. 3rd (located in the Whitehouse-Crawford Restaurant building). Some wineries may charge a fee for tasting.
11:30 a.m.-1 p.m.
All Campus Picnic on Ankeny Field. This is an opportunity for alumni to meet former and current faculty members and students. Ankeny Field by division.

Tour of the Johnston Wilderness Camp with Bob Carson, professor of geology. The camp, located up Mill Creek, is used as a research site for environmental study projects. Carpools depart from Harper Joy Theater parking lot.
2:45-4 p.m.
Tour of the Walla Walla Foundry, owned by Mark Anderson, 78. The Foundry, located at 405 Woodland, is one of the leading art foundries in the nation working with cast metals. Transportation provided.
4-5 p.m.
Psychology Department Open House. All psychology majors are invited to join faculty and students. Come prepared to share your career path with current students.

Open Houses for Sororities and Fraternities. Various houses and chapter rooms. Alpha Chi Omega, Alpha Phi, Delta Tau Delta and Independent alumni meet at the Alumni House, 219 Marcus Street.

Concert by John Browning, piano virtuoso, Cordiner Hall. In the tradition of the great Romantic pianists, John Browning has earned a distinguished reputation for his exceptional interpretive gifts, technical mastery of keyboard color and sonority, and deep commitment to music. He is considered one of the most important and extraordinarily compelling virtuoso performers today. His extensive repertoire ranges from Bach and Scarlatti to 20th-century composers. On Monday, September 25, from 4-6 p.m. Mr. Brownings master class in Cordiner Hall is free-of-charge.
