About the Conference
The Whitman Undergraduate Conference is an annual celebration of the scholarship and creativity that Whitman students bring to their academic work and the enthusiasm and success of their projects outside the classroom. During the course of a single day, students are given the opportunity to present on work they have done as part of study abroad programs, senior theses, summer research, fellowships, internships or independent projects.
Since the first Whitman Undergraduate Conference in 1999, students from each of the college's academic disciplines have gathered to share their research and creative projects in the form of presentations, posters and performances. Whitman students, faculty members and the campus community are invited to attend the conference, which has become noteworthy for its breadth of topics.
