How to Register for First Aid Courses
Whitman Students
The registrar’s office will handle all Whitman student registrations for WFR classes but the OP rental shop will handle the WFR recert course. Whitman students can register any time during the fall semester for the January WFR course with Stacey Giusti in the registrars office. This class fills up early so it is recommended to register in October or November for the January WFR course.
Community Members/ Non-Whitman Students
There are waitlist spaces available in the January and March WFR courses for non-students. Registration for these spaces are handled by the Whitman College Outdoor Program Rental Shop on a first come first served basis. 509-527-5965.
First Aid Courses
January 4-13, 2013 (2 courses), Wilderness First Responder, Whitman College
This 80-hour course with the Wilderness Medicine Institute of NOLS provides the tools to make critical medical and evacuation decisions in remote locations. Practical skill work, case studies, and scenarios designed to challenge your decision-making abilities enhance classroom time. Whitman: $600, Community: $695. For more information, call 527-5965.

February 16-18-2013 (1 course), Wilderness First Responder Re-certification Course
This scenario-based course is specifically designed to meet the needs of recertifying WFR students. Includes adult heartsaver CPR. Whitman: $250. Community: $295. All registrations for this course are handled by the Outdoor Program Rental Shop on a first come first served basis (509.527.5965).
