    The Global Studies Initiative seeks to address historical and contemporary interconnections to enable Whitman students — future humanitarians, teachers, diplomats and business people — to interact effectively and meaningfully with people from all corners of the world.

    Off-Campus Studies at Whitman College aims to develop in our students intercultural skills and global understanding for a lifetime of leadership by providing off-campus study opportunities worldwide that offer high-quality academic content, instruction and evaluation.

    The Science Outreach program inspires Walla Walla Valley teachers and students to explore science through an Advance Studies Enrichment Program, a spring science fair, classroom programs, and a Summer Institute for Teachers.

  • State of the State for Washington Latinos

    The State of the State for Washington Latinos is a community-based research project at Whitman College.

  • Summer Read Program

    In the Summer Read Program, a reading selection is assigned to all new first-year students. This selection provides a platform for intellectual discussion and debate for the college's newest students.

  • Whitman Undergraduate Conference

    The Whitman Undergraduate Conference celebrates the scholarship and creativity of Whitman students over a day dedicated entirely to their presentations, posters and performances.
