Erin Foster teaches music theory and ear training at Eastern Washington University as well as an online Music in the Humanities course. Ms. Foster also teaches bassoon at Whitman College, Walla Walla University and Gonzaga University. She is an “Eastern Washington University Honor Faculty Member” award recipient for her outstanding teaching.  Ms. Foster performs with many groups throughout the greater Spokane area, including the Spokane Symphony Orchestra, the Coeur d’Alene Summer Theater, the Spokane Opera and Coeur d’Alene Opera Orchestras. She is a founding and active member of the Inland Northwest Chamber Music Collective. In the music education arena, Ms. Foster coaches the winds and brass for the Spokane Youth Symphony’s Philharmonic Orchestra. She adjudicates for many area and state solo/ ensemble and large group festivals and coaches woodwinds for schools throughout the great Spokane region as well as teaching private bassoon lessons.  Before moving to Eastern Washington, Ms. Foster performed with the Reno Philharmonic Orchestra, the Reno Opera Orchestra, the Reno Salon Orchestra, Reno West Wind Quintet, and freelanced with many other Nevada and California chamber groups and orchestras. She has a master’s degree in bassoon performance.
