Your Math Placement Results

You've completed your Math placement test, now what?

• If you scored over 75%, then you’re ready for Calculus, and can sign up for Math 125.  
• If you scored between 70-75%, you should consider Math 124 (Intro to Calculus).  
• If you scored below 70%,  a member of the math department will  contact you to talk about your options. We can review your results together and develop a plan. Such a plan might include: 

• • Going through the ALEKS module to brush up on math topics that might need attention and then re-taking the placement exam.
  • Considering a different math entry point, for example, Math 128 (Introduction to Statistics).
  • Reviewing off-campus math options as well, for example, taking an online math course to help you prepare for calculus.

Placement tests are imperfect and you should not embark on any particular plan without chatting with someone in the Department of Mathematics and Statistics first.
