From Northwest (Seattle):

  1. Take Interstate 90 East for about 110 miles.
  2. Take the I-82 East/US-97 South exit (Exit 110)
  3. Follow Interstate 82 for approximately 100 miles.
  4. Take the I-182 East/US-12 East exit (Exit 102).
  5. Follow Interstate 182 for approximately 10 miles.
  6. Interstate 182 becomes US-12 East.
  7. Follow US-12 East.
  8. In Walla Walla take the 2nd Avenue/City Center exit.
  9. Turn right onto N 2nd Avenue.
  10. Turn left onto E Main Street.
  11. At the five point intersection veer right onto Boyer Avenue.
  12. Within a block, you will be on the Whitman Campus.

From Western Oregon (Portland):

  1. Take Interstate 84 East for approximately 200 miles.
  2. Take Exit 210, the OR-11 exit toward Pendleton/Milton-Freewater. Turn left onto Oregon-Washington Highway/OR-11.
  3. Turn right onto SE Court Ave/OR-11/Oregon-Washington Highway/Pendleton Highway/US-30. Continue to follow OR-11/Oregon-Washington Highway.
  4. OR-11 North becomes WA-125 North after approximately 33 miles.
  5. WA-125 North brings you into Walla Walla.
  6. WA-125 becomes 9th Street.
  7. Turn right on Main Street.
  8. At the five point intersection veer right onto Boyer Avenue.
  9. Within a block, you will be on the Whitman Campus.

From Northeast (Spokane):

  1. Take Interstate 90 West for approximately 60 miles.
  2. Take Exit 220 to US-395 South and follow for approximately 75 miles.
  3. Exit toward US-12 East and follow for about 30 miles.
  4. In Walla Walla take the 2nd Avenue/City Center exit.
  5. Turn right onto N 2nd Avenue.
  6. Turn left onto E Main Street.
  7. At the five point intersection veer right onto Boyer Avenue.
  8. Within a block, you will be on the Whitman Campus.

From East (Boise):

  1. Take Interstate 84 West for approximately 215 miles.
  2. Take exit 216 towards Walla Walla.
  3. Turn right off of the exit ramp.
  4. Follow this road past Mission until you reach OR-11
  5. Turn right on OR-11
  6. OR-11 North becomes WA-125 North.
  7. WA-125 North brings you into Walla Walla.
  8. WA-125 becomes 9th Street.
  9. Turn right on Main Street.
  10. At the five point intersection veer right onto Boyer Avenue.
  11. Within a block, you will be on the Whitman Campus.

From Tri-Cities Airport (Pasco):

  1. Exit the airport heading south on 20th Ave.
  2. Take the ramp onto I-182/12 East.
  3. Continue on US-12 East for approximately 16 miles.
  4. Turn left to stay on US-12. Continue for approximately 30 miles.
  5. In Walla Walla take the 2nd Avenue/City Center exit.
  6. Turn right onto N 2nd Avenue.
  7. Turn left onto E Main Street.
  8. At the five point intersection veer right onto Boyer Avenue.
  9. Within a block, you will be on the Whitman Campus.

Parking

  • For general parking, find free parking along Boyer Avenue or Park Street.  You may also turn left on Park Street and proceed to the Harper Joy Theatre parking lot or turn right on Park Street and turn left into the music building parking lot.  
  • For Admission & Financial Aid check-in, proceed along Boyer Avenue to find free parking closer to Penrose House, 515 Boyer Avenue, corner of Boyer Avenue and Stanton Street.  Free parking is also available along Stanton Street or Merriam Street.
  • For Visitors' Day parking, turn right on Park Street and turn left into the music building parking lot or turn left on Park Street and proceed to the Harper Joy Theatre parking lot.
